چکیده

Modeling parameters (MP) of reinforced concrete columns are a critical component performance-based seismic assessment methodologies because in these approaches damage is estimated based on element deformations calculated using non-linear models. To ensure model fidelity and consistency results, methods ASCE 41, ACI 369.1, 374.3R prescribe modeling calibrated experimental data. This paper introduces new set equations to calculate column optimized for design verification buildings response history analysis. a new type-ii fuzzy logic based controller for non-linear dynamical systems with application to 3-psp parallel robot

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

Modeling chromatographic columns non-equilibrium packed-bed adsorption with non-linear adsorption isotherms.

In this work a new mathematical model, based on non-equilibrium conditions, describing the dynamic adsorption of proteins in columns packed with spherical adsorbent particles is used to study the performance of chromatographic systems. Simulations of frontal chromatography, including axial dispersion, for non-equilibrium systems with non-linear adsorption isotherms are made and compared to thos...

Theoretical model for slender FRP-confined circular RC columns

An important application of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites is to provide confinement to reinforced concrete (RC) columns to enhance their loadcarrying capacity. However, this application is generally restricted to short columns as existing design guidelines do not contain provisions for the design of FRP jackets for slender columns. This situation has been due to both the scarcity of...
